Pending Bill: Special Act on Strengthening the Competitiveness of the Steel Industry and Transition to Green Steel Technology

● This bill would expand state-level support for the steel industry by establishing a Special Committee for Strengthening the Competitiveness of the Steel Industry under the president, tightening restrictions on the import and distribution of nonconforming steel products and providing subsidies and tax incentives for the development of, or investment in, green steel technologies.

Promulgated Bill: Trade Union and Labor Relations Adjustment Act

● Commonly known as the “Yellow Envelope" bill, this expands the scope of employers and industrial disputes, while also limiting corporate damages claims against trade unions or workers for losses arising from collective bargaining, industrial action or other union activities.

Competent Authority: Ministry of Economy and Finance

● The draft amendment would reinforce tax credits for national strategic technologies, including AI, and expand tax incentives for real estate in depopulated areas.
